Encountering Freedom in Christ is a ministry whose roots started 25 years ago inside Heritage. Over the years the ministry has expanded and grown and has touched the lives of thousands of people. For those who struggle with anxiety, depression, anger, bitterness, or deep emotional wounds, this ministry might be for you.Our freedom teams help individuals find forgiveness, release past hurts, and walk in victory through Christ. Through gentleness, love, and compassion our experienced team members have helped many discover lasting hope, freedom, and restoration.

There is no charge. All Sessions are free!

We minister to people of all ages. Satan has no conscience, he will attack humans at any age. In Mark 9:17-29, Jesus was called upon to cast an evil spirit out of a child. We have helped children struggling with severe night terrors all the way up to people in their 90’s struggling with fear and anxiety.

We would suggest everyone have at least one freedom session. It doesn’t hurt to get a spiritual check-up. The enemy is invisible and crafty, evil spirits will strive to stay hidden and convince us their attacks against us are the result of our weakness or brokenness. Hollywood movies don’t help as they sensationalize and portray demonic attacks in very extreme and disgusting ways. In reality, evil spirits attack us in more subtle ways. Demons tend to attack our mind and our emotions. They attack our minds with disgusting lies, and attack our emotions by ramping them up to unhealthy levels.

Some of the most common symptoms are: Excessive negative self-talk, feelings of uncontrollable anger, a chaotic and racing mind that prevents you from prayer, focus, or sleep, deep seated bitterness, resentment, or unforgiveness, feelings of abandonment or rejection, thoughts of suicide, extreme fear and anxiety, feelings that your life was a mistake or an accident, nightmares or night terrors, excessive feelings of guilt and shame, obsessive compulsive behaviors, continuous feelings of doom, gloom and depression, self-hatred, low self esteem, or an excessive need to control others.

This is mostly determined by your life story. Demons tend to attack us through wounds from the past. If our life has been filled with much pain and heartache, it is likely you will need more sessions. On average, an adult usually needs three sessions, while children are usually finished after one session.

Encountering Freedom sessions are currently held across the street of Heritage's Rock Island campus, at 4708 44th St, Rock Island, IL 61201 (connected to the Interstate Batteries store). Look for the Encountering Freedom sign on the entryway door. When you come into the lobby, you may take a seat until a team member comes out to greet you.
