Record numbers of people are coming in for a meal and volunteers are needed on Wednesdays & Fridays from 11:30 am to 2:00 or Saturdays from 8:30 am to 11:30. Please prayerfully consider helping out! Just show up at the back door and ring the buzzer or call Terri at 563.570.4536 if you have questions.
Here's some practical ways of showing God's love to those in our community.
- Pay for the cup of coffee for the person behind you in line.
- Don’t just tip your server, double tip them.
- Buy 3 bottles of water instead of one and give them away.
- Gather your group and wash windows of cars at the mall.
- Ask the cashier their favorite candy bar and purchase it for them.
- Go for a walk and pick up trash along the trail.
- Offer to babysit for a couple or single parent.
- Visit a nursing home with your small group and talk with residents.
- Grab some friends and go to a local park and pick up any trash you find.
