Our Stewardship Journey
This is a defining time in the life of Heritage Church. God wants to move in miraculous ways. He has given us the dream of reaching our region for Christ. Imagine 10,000 people, meeting in multiple locations, praising God together for the changes He has made in their lives. Imagine you had something to do with that. Imagine telling future generations about the moment you experienced God's power in miraculous ways.
Grocery store chains know business will increase if they have a store near you. The combination of high visibility and the convenience of shopping at a location near your home make it more likely that you will shop there. The same thing is true with churches. High visibility and the opportunity to attend church with neighbors and friends increase the likelihood that your neighbor will visit Heritage.
We have successfully launched our first satellite campus in Bettendorf, Ia. and anticipate adding our next campus somewhere in west Davenport. Exact locations of future campuses are yet to be determined, but Geneseo Il., Clinton Ia., and anywhere else we can gather 300+ people are on the list.
How Can We Respond?
Pray
- Like every spiritual endeavor, prayer forms the foundation and determines the success.
- Pray for the children, students and adults that God is going to bring to Heritage. Pray for their salvation and ongoing transformation.
- Pray that the stewardship journey will create an environment that will effectively motivate each person to seek God's will for his or her life.
- Pray that God will show us the true meaning of 2 Corinthians 8, where the Macedonian churches, in spite of difficult circumstances, "...begged us again and again for the privilege of sharing in the gift for the believers in Jerusalem."
Get Involved
- Take advantage of opportunities to get information, pray and discover what God is doing at Heritage.
- Learn everything you can about our vision, values and purpose. Research our ministries and get involved.
Determine To Give
- God loves a cheerful giver and He loves to bless those who are generous. Use this stewardship journey as an opportunity to allow God to examine your financial priorities.
- Set aside time to be still before God and determine where He wants to stretch your faith.
- Seek out creative opportunities to give. This might mean giving up a couple of stops at your favorite coffee shop each week, selling a set of collector baseball cards, transferring ownership of an asset or delaying a major purchase.
Share Your Faith Journey
- This involves sharing Christ with a not yet saved person and sharing with other Christ-followers what God is doing in your life as you pursue Him through the Real People, Real Possibilities journey.
