Deaf Ministry
Sign Language Interpreters are provided for the deaf and hard of hearing on the Rock Island Campus for Saturday night services at 5:00 p.m. and 10:45 a.m. Sunday morning worship services.
Marriage Ministry
We believe marriage is a God-ordained lifetime covenant and as a church we are committed to assist you as you make preparations. One of the greatest ways to prepare is to participate in an in-depth premarital program. The following information is provided to be of help to you as you plan for this very special day.
Two Important Considerations
- Each person must be a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ and that belief must be reflected in their lifestyles.
- Because we know you want God to bless your marriage, we believe you will want to be obedient to Him. If you are living together, we urge one of you to relocate at the onset of premarital mentoring until after the wedding.
The Premarital Process
Those planning a wedding at Heritage or using Heritage staff to officiate are required to complete 4-8 weeks premarital mentoring. Please call the Congregational Care office at least six months prior to your anticipated wedding date to begin the premarital mentoring process.
Enrichment Opportunities for Married Couples
Marriage Mentoring is offered here at Heritage for couples who would like to enrich their marriage or make a significant investment in sustaining a passionate relationship. Similar to the premarital approach on mentoring, each couple completes a self-diagnostic inventory which is designed to help them learn more about themselves and their relationship. There is a $75 fee for materials and training. Please call the Congregational Care office if you'd like more information.
Counselors
If you are in need of a Christian counselor, the Congregational Care office will provide you with a list of available counselors in the area. This is not an exhaustive list but all come highly recommended.
