Just a quick update on baby Lillian, she had a rough weekend. Her platelet levels dropped dangerously low over the weekend. We know she has a long and rough road ahead, but with all your prayers,God has answered us again and pulled her through this.I had all the faith that he would. They started to feed her also( no more meal in a bag) which is a good sign.Thank you all again for your prayers and if i could, ask for you to continue to pray for her and us.The deepest thank you and prayers go to all of you, that God touches all of you and answers all of your prayers.God Bless all of You.

Glory to God!Last week I asked for your prayers for my then 7 day old grand daughter, whom now is 14 days old,for what the doctors told us was ovarian cancer. Well we got the preliminary pathology report yesterday, which they said are just preliminary and subject to change, but didn't think they would, and with the grace of God whom reached down and cradled lillian in his arms and took the cancer right out of her diagnosis.SHE DOES NOT HAVE CANCER.She has a mass of blood vessels and arteries and veins that just decided to take off and do their own thing. It has a name, but please don't ask me to pronounce it.She is still a sick little baby, and we still need your prayers. They are using a form of chemo(which have been found to be effective against these things) to try and shrink this thing to take the pressure from her chest and other organs, but she can live with this. maybe be treated for it the rest of her life, maybe not ,depending on how things go. Thank you to all who prayed for her and us. I pray that God answers all of your prayers and touches you with his grace and love and healing. The tears I have today from writing this are tears of joy this time. God bless you all,and the glory goes to God our saviour.Thank You!

I would like to thank and praise Heritage church for helping me not only develop a stronger relationship with my Savior, but also the courage to spread the word of Jesus. I recently invited my whole family to come to Easter service with my husband and I, and they all agreed! Even though I was scared, the Lord kept me strong. I can't wait to see how He works within each person in my family on Easter. Praise Jesus:)

Praise for answerred prayers concerning my daughters angiogram that showed no blockage around the heart so no need for a stint. There is a small irregular heartbeat and further tests need to be done to find out what the cause is and the cause for chest pain and dizzyness. Continue to keep her in prayer to find the answers. She walked in the door of my place of employment. She was the person that I "thought" I hated. She was the person that I "thought" I had much resentment towards. I had swore to myself that when I seen her I would be livid. I mean after all, that person help take my son right?? Wrong! That's what I "thought." I seen this person, I felt nothing. When I mean nothing, I mean "NOTHING." My heart did not race, My temper did not boil,I was not angry at all...what was wrong with me I thought to myself. Even when she sat down to eat her meal with her friend, She did not even cross my mind again. For the life of me I could not figure out why I felt nothing. Because had you asked me couple years ago, I would have nothing to say good about that person.I did walk over to her before I clocked out from my shift, I asked her about my son. The actions and the dialog, would have AGAIN, angered to OLD me. It did not, but, All the way home I pondered. WHY??? am I not angry? I wanted to literally shake myself into anger. I could not. Days later, I wondered, WHY??? Im NOT MAD. NOT HATEFUL. WHY??? So, it dawned on me, I FORGAVE HER. nothing more to candy coat it. I forgave her.I went through the real "F" series at heritage in bettendorf, it is where I attend now. I have had very hard struggles in my life, from divorce to Alcohalism...God is working in me, and I know the bitterness I once had is slowly going away...I wanted to say GOD BLESS YOU HERITAGE. because the answer to my "WHY" question, is I FORGAVE HER. And I know the real "F" word was the reason for it. AMEN! AMEN!

I originally was cosidering a prayer reqeust but after praying and thoughtful consideration, a praise report is more in order. I can never thank our most Gracious God enough for leading me into the doors of Heritage Church. I am so ashamed that it took me 53 years of my life to figure out what was missing in me. Over the last 18 months I have grown tremendously in my new walk with Christ and I owe it all to the geniune love and caring I feel every time I walk through the doors, the people are truly brothers and sisters in Faith and I am so very blessed to be in the presence of God's family each week. I am facing some very real challenges of Faith at this time, but I have been so wonderfully blessed by my caring Father in Heaven in my lifetime I feel guilty asking for prayer when there is so much I can still do to help others. Thank you Pastor John for your teachings and teaching style, and thank you to each member of the congregation, what a genuine true loving group of people, God bless you all.

On March 26th, I posted a prayer request regarding my family's finances. We have been unable to meet our financial obligations and we were soon to have our power shut off. Thank you to all who prayed. Over five years ago, I made a loan to someone and since it had been so long ago I never expected repayment. Yesterday, that person called and paid me back a portion equal to the amount we needed to pay our power and water bills. Praise God! He is so good!

Hi Pastor John, Ron and I wanted to give another praise report, on your last sermon, by the way you translate very will from spanish to english. Anyway, how true about the peace of God, Currently we don't have jobs, but that will shortly change in January. With all the turmoil, and previously wondering where our next cash would come from, food, gas etc.. living expenses, and our thoughts going a million miles a minute, amazingly almost daily, that wonderful peace that when all else does not make sense, the best way to describe the peace of God,is like a soothing warm breath that starts at the back of your throat going down that embraces your heart to the middle of your chest,We know God is taking care of us, as of now Ron will have a better job a lot closer to us and the position for me will be at a lot higher pay and we will be fine, but anyway, that's what is going on, oh and quickly, when Ron and I sent that praise report on tithing, one day after, we were on our way to our previous jobs and reflecting on your sermon and what happened to us, and how God rewards and how true it is regarding offerings, tithe etc.. I happened to glance at a car on the left lane passing us the license plate read: abbreviated: Believe Him, Wow. anyway, have a blessed and wonderful Christmas c-ya on screen from Bettendorf on Christmas eve and on the weekend. God Bless, Denise and Ron Impens

PRAISE to the LORD for His healing and grace! Thank YOU for your prayers for my husband,Jim. I requested prayer in June for his extreme back pain. Jim's condition is progressive and there is no 'cure' on earth, but for now, he is pain free and can work and move. The dr was amazed that Jim has improved so much since June, especially since Jim had to quit all the prescription medications that were causing so many ill effects. He is now on a mild analgesic and doing well. This can only be God's hand on Jim. Sick or well, He loves us all so much and we will praise Him for who He is!

I had requested prayer for our adoption, a few weeks ago. That same day we were put in contact with an attorney who could help us here in Davenport. We will finalize the adoptions of our 5 and 6 yr. olds this Thursday, May 7th. We are so thankful for God's faithfulness. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.

I want to thank the many people who prayed for our son David. He was struggling with a decision to either stay in law enforcement or quit. We asked for prayers for the Lord to direct him in this decision and for all of us to accept the answer. David had a meeting with his captain this week and they came to a mutual decision for David to quit the Moline Police department. He is a rookie and not yet on his own. He felt he needed to make this decision before going any further. I feel blessed that this decision was made. I as a mother do not want my son to be in this profession if he is not sure and not 100% committed. I am seeing a new son, one that is happy and says he feels relieved. Thank you for all your prayers. We feel they were answered and now pray that David finds another path and finds another job as he has a new home, car and is engaged. Another answered prayer is that his fiance and David have been attending church with us. Praise God.
